ေက်းဇူးတင္ရိွပါေၾကာင္း

ဗမာျပည္တြင္ တိုက္ခတ္သြားသည့္ Nargis မုန္တိုင္းေၾကာင့္ ဒုကၡေရာက္ၾကရေသာ ျပည္သူမ်ား၊ ပ်က္စီးဆံုးရံႈးမႈမ်ားအတြက္ အကူအညီေပးရန္ အလွဴေငြမ်ား ေကာက္ခံလ်က္ရိွရာ ေမလ ၁၀ ရက္ေန႔အထိ ျမန္မာအိုေအစစ္ကို ဆက္သြယ္လွဴဒါန္းၾကေသာ စာရင္းမွာ ေအာက္ပါအတိုင္းျဖစ္ပါသည္။ ၄င္းအလွဴေငြမ်ားကို ဗမာျပည္သို႔ ကိုယ္တုိင္ကုိယ္က် သြားေရာက္ကူညီမည့္ အဖြဲ႔သို႔ ေပးပို႔လွဴဒါန္းျပီး ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္းလည္း အသိေပးအပ္ပါသည္။

To help the victims of Cyclone Nargis, please send donations to the Singapore Red Cross at 15 Penang Lane, or call 6334 9152/53 for more information.

The public can also call at 1900 112 1010 for a S$10 donation, or 1900 112 1050 for a S$50 donation. Crossed cheques made out to "Mercy Relief Limited" can be sent to 172 Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore 118558.

Mercy Relief also accepts transfers via ATM or through internet banking. Its DBS account number is 054-900493-6.

Singapore Red Cross ready to assist in the Myanmar Cyclone Nargis

Following the recent cyclone that struck various parts of Myanmar, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) has assembled a health team comprising of medical doctors and nurses, and is on standby to provide emergency relief assistance to survivors of the disaster.

Since the tragedy on 2 May, the SRC has been monitoring the situation closely with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) Societies, in particular, the Disaster Management Unit for the Asia Pacific Zone, including the South East Asia Regional Office.

The SRC has applied for a licence from the Commissioner of Charities to collect public donations. In the meantime, SRC will accept any unsolicited donations. The money received will be channeled to Myanmar through the IFRC. The details are as follow:
